PRAYER PAVES THE WAY
Prayer paves the way where roads of grace
Can bring the sinner home
And smooths the roughest sin's terrain
That caused him first to roam
It takes the tears of broken hearts
Entrenched with manifold love
To persevere in numerous trials
With view to God above
A steadfast, unwavering
With face set like a flint
Praying without hesitation
For whom the prayers are sent
We wait and wait and wait and wait
With patience from our Lord
Who sees the final end in sight
And blesses by His Word
Drenched in prayer we labor on
Not burdened down with cares
But looking to our Lord above
Who paves the way with prayers
