Joy: “the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying.” I walk this day like any other day in my life, longing for the return of Joy. I’m not sure when it departed, was it after being unemployed, or during my employment working to provide services in a consumer-driven economy? Was it during my search of God looking for bliss? I don’t remember any more. All I know it is gone.
The bible tells us we will experience trials as we walk on the planet and it explains how to apply God during the troubled days. The bible teaches, in time of trials exercise patience not passion during this season. We should not pray for the removal of the affliction rather request wisdom for use to control our own sprit. For if, we ask for the afflictions removal, doubt produces conflict with the Holy Spirit bring displeasure to God.
So, pray for wisdom of patience so not to have doubt, for no condition of life is such as to hinder rejoicing in God. For rejoicing in God during trials prepares a crown of love in our hearts.
