One day on the East Ham High Street an elderly man by the name of Mr Samuels sat down beside a young man, whose name was Tim
Tim the young who was sitting beside looked at him and asked him this question.
ˇ§Excuse me sir how would you describe what God is like?ˇ¨
Mr Samuels looked at Tim who was sitting beside him and said this:
ˇ§Well my dear good man my God or better still our God is kind, compassionate, loving, and understanding.
He is the creator of the universe and mankind
He is the judge of all the earth plus the forgiver of all sins.
He is your friend and my friend
The Solver of all our problems, nothing is impossible for our lord.
When evil is around us he will shield us with his angels to protect us from all harm.
He is mightier than the roaring lion.
But most of all he sees and hears all things that we say and do.ˇ¨
After listening to Mr Samuels, Tim face was filled with tears and with a trembling tone in his voice he started to say
ˇ§Mr Samuels your words has brought tears in my eyes and I most sincerely thank you. I have come from a loving Christian home, and when I became a teenager I decided to do my own thing, I stopped going to church and started to mix with a wrong crowd. This eventually erupted with rows between my father and me.
So I decided enough was enough and left home, which left my mum with a broken heart, and prayed that one day I would see some sense, turn from my ways and come home.
To cut the story short after spending some time with my gang I became bored and decided to go back home to my parents and ask them to give me a second chance.
So after hearing your words sir I decided to rededicate my life to Jesus.ˇ¨
After speaking Tim started to cry uncontrollable, Mr Samuels beside him who was with so much compassion and love put his arm around Tim and gently said
ˇ§Please do not cry for the good Lord knows of your situation and he is finding a way to sort out your problems, so please do not cry just dry your eyes and gather yourself together.ˇ¨
Therefore Tim did as Mr Samuels instructed him, and once that was done Mr Samuels said a prayer to give this chap some words of encouragement.
After the prayer, just before Tim was about to leave, Mr Samuels Timˇ¦s new friend asked him to ˇ§come over and said this.
ˇ§May the good Lord continue to guide, sustain and bless you always, talk to your parents and go in peace.ˇ¨
When he heard this Timˇ¦s expression started to change to allow a little smile in his face, and whilst walking down East Ham High Street he turned around looked at Mr Samuels briefly and moved the words ˇ§thank youˇ¨ waved good bye and went his way.
