Peace That Passes Understanding

Philippians 4:6-7 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer
and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known
unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (KJV)
There’s a peace that comes from knowing
That your sins are washed away.
A receipt from God the Father
Saying there’s no debt to pay.
There, also in the book of life,
My name is clearly written down.
And awaiting me in heaven
Is a golden victor’s crown.
The wonder of this glad pronouncement
Is that all was given free.
It was paid by Christ my Savior
By His blood on Calvary.
All I did was just receive it.
By the grace of God to me.
I’ve a home prepared in heaven
Where I’ll live eternally.
God has promised me in writing
He will wipe all tears away.
It’s promised in God’s Holy Word
For this I praise Him everyday.
At the feet of Christ my Savior
I will give my crowns to Him.
There I’ll join the choirs of heaven
Singing a celestial hymn.
What a day of glad reunion
When my Savior I will see.
No more parting, death or sorrow
What a day of victory.
Do you have the peace of knowing
That your sins are fully paid,
Washed clean by the blood of Jesus,
That your sins on Christ were laid?
Isaiah 53:5-6 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was
bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid
on him the iniquity of us all.” (KJV)
