Faith is built through knowledge, which comes through study of the Word.
Wisdom comes through knowing, Knowing grows by each Word that’s heard.
Sometimes we hear and recognize that what we’ve heard is truth,
but unless we grow in knowledge, our faith remains as that of a youth.
We must study the Word and absorb it and give it a place in our heart,
but unless we apply it and use it, the growth of wisdom will end at the start.
Just like a seed that is planted it requires water if it is to grow,
the knowledge we strive to acquire,
is meant for more than simply “TO KNOW”.
Some men are filled with great knowledge, acquired through years of toil,
but unless they apply it to the rest of their lives, it’s buried in unwatered soil.
Knowledge learned and then stored away is wasted and has no effect,
unless it’s shared and applied to our lives, it dies from wasteful neglect.
The Lord said that His people perish, for lack of knowledge, - it’s so!
And once you acquire the knowledge,
what do you do with the knowledge you know?
Acquire knowledge with your head and store it in your heart,
speak it with your tongue each day and to others, your knowledge impart.
We don’t live by bread alone, but by each Word that God has spoken.
Unless His Word controls our lives, this covenant by us, is broken.
So enrich your faith and learn His Word and apply it every day,
for knowledge of His Holy Word will help us live His way.
