When have you felt alone and in need of God’s touch? Only call on His name and the holy word will come down on you.
Some people consult doctors for illness and others look to financial aid to purchase a home. The worldly believe strength within them or others can push troubles beyond their path. Those who believe in self-reliance strength are vain. However, the wise seek and trust the Lords advice in times of real circumstances.
Take the case of Hezekiah. At thirty-nine, King of Judah the prophet Isaiah informed him to put his affairs in order for he will die soon. During this time, Judah was in the eye of a storm called Sennacherib, King of Assyria. He just ran over several kingdoms including Israel. So as Hezekiah laying ill and God’s prophet tell him of his impending death. What did he do? He prayed. Asking God Almighty to extend his life, give birth to a son so the Davidic throne could continue. Soon after this, God Almighty delivered this message to Isaiah, “Go back to Hezekiah and tell him I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will add fifteen years to your life, and I will rescue you and this city from the king of Assyria.” To understand how to trust in God’s word read Isaiah chapters 38 then 37 and 39.
