In part 1 I discussed the rationale for concluding that the Group of Seven Nations (G7) is the beast of tribulation. This conclusion was not derived at because of some political, cultural, religious or philosophical bias but on a clear examination of The Holy Scriptures. I declared most emphatically (note not dogmatically) on the 14th July 2008, that the Bible affirms that in its variant forms the GROUP OF SEVEN (G7) NATIONS is the BEAST of the last seven years on earth; a period known as the Tribulation.

In this part 2 I want the scriptures that I examined to be looked at from the perspective not of preconceived notions and fossilized dogma but from a proper reading and assessment of what the Bible says and what it really means. All of these scriptures are taken from the King James Version unless noted otherwise and you are advised to do your own study of the scriptures quoted.

Now let me repeat what I have stated in part 1, i.e. here is the most amazing thing. Of the 36 references relating to the Tribulation beast of prophesy, 33 of these references are applicable to the GROUP OF SEVEN (G7) NATIONS (that is a staggering correlation of 91.7%) and only 15 of these references can be applied to the revived Roman Empire (that is a correlation of 41.7%).

Now do the math for yourself and draw your own conclusion.

Table of comparison between the Revised Roman Empire
and the Group of Seven (G7) Nations

Bible Reference

“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.” – Daniel 7:7

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. This beast is the original Roman Empire that began around 133 BC (some say 31BC) and lasted until about AD 457 (when the Western half ceased to be) and continued in a reduced form in Asia Minor for another 1000 years.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

No. This beast is the original Roman Empire. It followed after three other World Empires, i.e. Babylon, Medio-Persia and Greece.

Bible Reference

And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.” – Revelation 11:7

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

Yes. The leader of the revised Roman Empire may be the Anti-Christ and therefore would be the one to kill these witnesses. The evidence would suggest that the leader of the revised Roman Empire would be a spiritual figure (the False Prophet) rather than a political figure.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. The leader of the Group of Seven (G7) Nations may be the Anti-Christ and therefore would be the one to kill these witnesses. By every measure the Anti-Christ will be a political figure.

Bible Reference

“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.” – Revelation 13:1

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

Yes. Seven heads may be a reference to 7 stages in the revised empire. Ten horns and ten crowns may be a reference to 10 leaders (e.g. prime ministers or presidents)

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. The Group of Seven was for a long time a 7 country entity. In time it will expand to have 10 countries and 10 leaders.

Bible Reference

“And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”– Revelation 13:2

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?
Yes. The original Roman Empire was quick to conquer like a leopard, dominant as a bear and avaricious like a lion as will be its revised counterpart. It will get its authority from satanic world systems.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. The Group of 7 is quick to conquer like a leopard, dominant as a bear and avaricious like a lion as known to all. It gets its power and authority from exploitation and control of satanic world systems.

Bible Reference

“And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.” – Revelation 13:3

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

Yes. Pope John Paul II was shot by an assassin but fully recovered and henceforth acquired a worldwide following.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. President Ronald Reagan, as de facto head of the G7 was shot by an assassin but fully recovered and acquired a worldwide following.

Bible Reference

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” – Revelation 13:4

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

Yes. A revised Roman Empire’s leader could be militarily dominant, hero worshipped for his prestige and position and would be a folk hero for the worship of money and materialism (the devil’s currencies)

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. The USA President as de facto head of the G7 is militarily dominant, hero worshipped for his prestige and position (called by many the leader of the free world) and is a folk hero for the worship of money and materialism (the devil’s currencies)

Bible Reference

“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.” – Revelation 13:11

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

Yes. This beast comes from the land (one country) rather than the sea (combination of countries) and in manner is lamblike (gentle) and may impersonate the Lamb of God (Jesus) but he is fully satanic. This person is the quintessential False Prophet

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

No. This person is clearly a spiritual figure whereas the head of the Group of 7 will be a political figure.

Bible Reference

“And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.” – Revelation 13:12

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

Yes. The False Prophet who is likely to be the Pope has unlimited power to act on behalf of the Papacy (the Pope claims to be infallible in some matters) and at some point the pope will become the G7 Chaplin (formally or otherwise).

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

No. The Pope will be exalting and singing the praises of the leader of G7.

Bible Reference

“And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.” – Revelation 13:14.

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. The False Prophet will do magical things to deceive people and his intention is to get people to worship the Anti-Christ.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. The beast and the Anti-Christ are the same and the False Prophet his biggest promoter. Later in the Temple the Anti-Christ will declare himself an object of worship.

Bible Reference

“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed” – Revelation 13:15

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. The False Prophet from the Papacy creates an image and through magic (or technological wizardry) gives it verbal skills and those refusing to be hoodwinked were disposed of.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. This image is the image of the beast and the Anti-Christ (the de facto or elected head of the Group of Seven (G7).

Bible Reference

“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” – Revelation 13:17

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. This mark of the beast is a commercial/political identification.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. This mark of the beast is a commercial/political identification giving the Anti-Christ world wide control and domination.

Bible Reference

“Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” – Revelation 13:18

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. This beast is reference to the Anti-Christ and not the False Prophet.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. It is not clear exactly how this number 666 is going to be attached to the leader of G7, maybe he was born on 6th June 1966 and the numerical value of his full name will add up to 666 and he will be the sixth son of a sixth of a sixth son. If all three applies then you have your man.

Bible Reference

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand.” – Revelation 14:9

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. Same as third comment back.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. Same as third comment back

Bible Reference

“And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” – Revelation 14:11

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. Ditto fourth comment back.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. Ditto fourth comment back.

Bible Reference

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.” – Revelation 15:2

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. This is the person known as the Anti-Christ

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. This is the head of G7 known as the beast / Anti-Christ who in spite of his rein of terror and persecution of the elect could not force them to submit and as a consequence were killed.

Bible Reference

“And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast and upon them which worshipped his image.” – Revelation 16:2

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. This person is still a political figure who dominates the world and demands to be worshipped.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. This is the same person who is promoted by the False Prophet and now his worshippers are being thumped by Almighty God as described previously under “The Seven Bowl Judgments”.

Bible Reference
“And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain.” – Revelation 16:10
Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. This person is not the False Prophet but the Anti-Christ and this judgment begins at his headquarters and spreads worldwide.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. This Anti-Christ head of G7 will be protectively ensconced in his bunker but with God there is no escape and he is ferociously pummeled.

Bible Reference

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.” – Revelation 16:13

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. This ungodly trinity is the Devil, the leader of G7 and most likely the Pope.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. This beast is the leader of G7 who will be able to mobilize and command military forces and work in concert with his demonic colleagues.

Bible Reference

“So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.” – Revelation 17:3

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

Yes. This beast will match well the old Roman Empire (Rome is built on seven mountains) and the ten member European Union that adds credence to its revision. Many regard the Papacy as blasphemous.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. The Group of Seven (G7) was for the major part of its existence supported by seven entities and will, at the time of the Tribulation, be composed of ten members. The majority of G7 members describes themselves as post Christian

Bible Reference

“And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.” – Revelation 17:7

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

Yes. Same as last comment

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. Same as last comment

Bible Reference

“The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.” – Revelation 17:8

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

Yes. Any revised Roman Empire will be wicked and will be destroyed and will fit this criteria because it was from the fall of the Roman Republic (some say from the time of Julius Caesar about 33 BC) until some time in the fourteenth century AD when it was obliterated by the Turks. Any revival would be compatible with “that was, and is not, and yet is”

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. The beast here refers to the Group of Seven (G7) and at one time it was composed of seven members only, then Russia was added, and others will be added making it no longer the Group of Seven but at the Tribulation it will revert to the Group of Seven entities. The G7 is fundamentally post-Christian and will eventually be destroyed.

Bible Reference

“And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.” – Revelation 17:10

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. You can make this fit the revised Roman Empire only if you become selective and arbitrary but it will not fit naturally.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes, absolutely. The G7 was launched at a summit in France in 1975 and from that date it has had six de facto leaders (Americans) Presidents Forde, Carter, Reagan, G.H.W.Bush, Clinton and G.H.Bush. Five are past presidents, one is president and one is about to be elected.

Bible Reference

“And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.” – Revelation 17:11

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. Not an easy fit for the revived Roman Empire. A case can be made but it will be tendentious, selective and basically unsound.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. This refers to the eighth leader of G7, who might well be a former de facto leader of the group, and is now elected Executive leader of the G7 but he will be destroyed.( It could also refer to the 8th Executive leader appointed)

Bible Reference

“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.” – Revelation 17:12

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. Whoever the ten kings (prime ministers –presidents) are this beast is political and empowers these persons for a short while.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. The head of G7 as the Anti-Christ of the Great Tribulation will elevate and share his power and bounty with leaders of ten nations.

Bible Reference

“These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” – Revelation 17:13

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. The power comes from military and financial might and domination and belongs to the Group of Seven (G7).

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. The head of G7 elevates and pampers ten world leaders who in turn unanimously agree to give him continuous support.

Bible Reference

“And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.” – Revelation 17:16

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

Yes. This beast could be the revised Roman Empire which for a time tolerates the Papacy but later destroys it for its past associations but saves its friend the Pope (False Prophet).

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. The leader of G7 when he is exposed as the Anti-Christ, by committing the abomination in the Temple, will seek to destroy even nominal Christianity of which the Papacy is typical but he will save the Pope.

Bible Reference

“For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.” – Revelation 17:17

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

Yes. Same beast as in last comment but all in accordance with God’s will and timing.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. Same beast as in last comment but God is in control and working things out in accordance with his will.

Bible Reference

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army” – Revelation 19:19

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. This beast is now in political and military control and could not be the leader of the revised Roman Empire.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. This is the typical position of the leader of G7 as he commands and controls the military forces of the world and tries to prevent the returning Jesus from taking over.

Bible Reference

“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.” – Revelation 19:20

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. This beast is as the last comment but the False Prophet (Pope) might well be the head of the revised Roman Empire.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. This beast is the Anti-Christ and leader of the (G7) Group of Nations and he will be the first person ever to be tossed alive into the eternal lake of fire, followed by the False Prophet soon after.

Bible Reference

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” – Revelation 20:4

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. This beast is the Anti-Christ and leader of the (G7) Group of Nations but if a credible case could be made for the revised Roman Empire then this could be its leader.

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. This beast in every respect fits the leader of the (G7) Group of Nations. These believers on the thrones are believers throughout the ages and they are joined by Tribulation believers who died during the onslaught by the Anti-Christ and together they will reign with Christ in the Millennium.

Bible Reference

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” – Revelation 20:10.

Applicable to the Revised Roman Empire?

No. Same as last comment

Applicable to the Group of Seven (G7) Nations?

Yes. The final insult for the leader of the (G7) Group of Nations will be to see his superman boss, whom he thought was unbeatable, now humiliated, and toss like burning garbage, into the very same everlasting lake of fire.

Dr. Henderson; I have read 3 of your articles just now. I have read not only this one but The Beast of Tribulation Identified, Part 1. I have also read another one which I wanted to comment on, but I could not get the comment box on which to state my thoughts. Now, I am stuck with commenting on this one, Part 2. I would like to be able to read both 1 and 2 in print. I am unable to digest every-thing as written. I would like to have this in writing, if possible. Ethel Pechman epechman@yahoo.com
