Angel Testimony
By Deborah Wagner
January 18, 2011

The sun follows us everywhere we go. When I was a young child this baffled me. How can the sun be in all places, for all people everywhere, at the same time? And yet the sun still follows me wherever I go? I couldn’t figure this out. That’s how I found God. God found me though, and I accepted. It wasn’t like a formal introduction, yet more like a formal invitation. As I prayed in my apartment one day, praying for a child, praying for me to be pregnant. Then suddenly, quiet and still, all alone I felt a presence. And that presence blessed me with a baby boy nine months later. Allow me to explain the presence to you.
Hebrews 13:2
2 “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”
This is so true about the presence of angels. Three things one needs to learn about angels. First they are messengers of God. They have come into my home, into my hospital room, at camp when I was younger. The angels always have a brief message to send me. No more and no less. Don’t expect to have small talk with your angel. At least with my angels, it’s always just a message from God. They know I fear them, in a healthy way. They are aware that I fear God in a healthy way. They have come unexpectedly during my lifetime, and have entered my dreams more than once. They also are aware that I came from a dysfunctional family, and much of my life I was a loner. When I was younger I dedicated my singing songs to my angels. I would perfect the song, “Silent Night” in an operatic bravado style. I believe that’s why the angels visit me so much, because I personally honor them for watching over me, and for sending me Gods message.

The second thing about angels is that they protect you.
Luke 4:10
For it is written: “He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully;”
God is magnificent. At least to me he has sent His angels to watch over me when I was in real danger. I met all eight angels personally on Nov 5, 1987. That day I decided to take a stroll in the school park with an old friend. Not knowing that this old friend from the past was psychotic. He actually turned on me and started beating me. My face was in the ground into the cold grass. He later flipped me over and tried strangling me. I saw behind him the stars in the sky, as I silently prayed to God for help. Peripherally I can see out of the corner of me eye a shadowy presence hiding in the corridors from afar. Soon I saw at the corner of my eye a large Alaskan malamute running and barking toward our way. The next thing I saw was my assailant got off of me, and he was actually afraid of dogs. They came out from no where, all four Alaskan malamute dogs, and behind them were four bearded men dressed in a flannel shirts with their pants tucked into their laced up suede leather boots. That really puzzled me how they were all dressed that evening. That’s what made them so different and not from this planet. To confirm this, one day I was reading a book about a woman’s testimony about when she met her husbands’ angel at the hospital. The angel she saw and described was dressed just like the angels that rescued me back in 1987. She knew she saw an angel, because the eyes were a deep blue color, a color that she’s never seen before, or will ever forget. And she mentioned the clothes as unusual. In my opinion, my angels had a personal persona about them. They all were a peaceful presence that evening. They all had to walk their dogs at the same time, 11:30pm that night. I don’t know too many people that walk any animals that late at night wearing lumber jack clothes. Those were angels, and for some reason God spared my life right on time.

The third attribute about angels is that angels love and worship God. The angels do not want you to worship them.

17 Then Manoah inquired of the angel of the LORD, “What is your name, so that we may honor you when your word comes true?”
18 He replied, “Why do you ask my name? It is beyond understanding.”

The angel in the book of Judges wants no credit or attention to himself. Angels work hard for God.

Job 1:6
”One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them.”

The angels in heaven have their regular meeting with God, and are faithful to serve God to the fullest. In my spiritual experiences in life, the angels came to give me a message. The angels came to protect and watch over me. The angels came into a pure presence in my home to warn me about my sons’ epilepsy. Angels are at work around the clock, and are good examples to follow. I’ve learned a lot from my angels visitation. Thank God for all His angels.
