So I went
to the angel
and told him
to give me
the little scroll;
and he said to me,
'Take it and eat;
it will be bitter
to your stomach,
but sweet as honey
in you mouth.'
[Revelation 10:9]

"They want a 30 page
manuscript....sent
in HARD copy!"
[PATIENT SILENCE.]
"ECH!"
[PATIENT NOD.]
"I'm too LAZY,
Lord."
[NOD.]
"Plus, I'd
never win,
ANYWAY."
[PATIENT SIGH.]
(Snort.)
"I've never
won nothin',
my whole LIFE;
why should I
start NOW?"
[SIGH.]
"Yeah;
this one writing
expert has called
my stuff.....
'your little POEMS.'"
(Grimace.)
"What the heck,
is she TALKIN'
about?"
(Look up.)
"Does this look
like POETRY,
to YOU?"
"Oy vey."
(Laughing.)
"So.......
when are Ya
comin' BACK,
LORD? They
tell me that
You're comin'
BACK,
soon!"
"Yes,
My beloved."
"The fullness
of the GENTILES
has already been
come and GONE..
Lord! They've
taken You to CHINA!
There's no where
to GO, but the
Pacific OCEAN!"
[CHUCKLING.]
"Are they gonna
start converting
the DOLPHINS,
next?"
[STERN SQUINT.]
"Are we being
irreverent,
Mein kin'der?"
(Innocent squint.)
"Of COURSE NOT!
It's just a bit a'.....
Jewish HUMOR!
(Look up.)
"Neu?
So.....when are
Ya comin' BACK?"
[GAZE AT ONE
OF THE ANGELS
STANDING
ON THE PRECIPICE
OF TIME: HOLDING
THE SHOFAR TRUMPET
OF PURE GOLD.]
"Soon,
My beloved,
Soon."

And
I took the
little scroll
from the hand
of the angel
and ate it;
it was sweet
as honey
in my mouth,
but when I
had eaten it
my stomach
was made bitter.
And
I was told,
'You must again
prophesy about
many peoples
and nations
and tongues
and
kings."
[Revelation 10:10-11]
