When the morning comes
So does the light
So does the peace
No more shadows
The dangerous rampage has ceased
When the morning comes
So do the bruises
So does more pain --
No more denial
The beast rests to rise again
His hands never tire
Of causing pain
Of bringing grief
Of beating down
And breaking apart
His hands never tire
Of smashing up
And causing confusion all around
His hands never tire
Enough to stop
Stop fighting
Stop hitting
Stop destroying
When the morning comes
Will I still be here?
Will anybody care?
When the morning comes
Will it be too late?
For me?
For him?
When the morning comes
What can you say you have done?
For me?
For him?
When the morning comes
