Aiming high and not losing focus

Aiming high and NOT losing focus is a weighty but beneficial burden. The fact that one hopes on things that are not currently within his reach makes this a perfect environment for direct dependency on God; which is the best gift of life.

I usually stroll around with one of my nephews. Whilst we walk, he allows himself to be caught about things he sees and hears. It only gets to show that there is a lack of focus on relaxation, which is the purpose of the walk.

The Christian life is the same! We must be aware that many of the things around us are not things for us. They only act as disturbing elements in our lives, something we pretty much cry to the Lord for after we get ourselves into messes.

Often times our conscience really advices us to abstain from certain things, but we indulge (I'm not referring to acts of immorality). Sometimes we are consciously aware that we do not need any new friendship till we attain certain things, but because of vain hopes of sustaining both the friendship and the goal; we opt in and sooner or later, we suffer both losses!

It is my hope and faith that by moving with and in the Holy Spirit, we uncover a strength to help us cope. Christ being our hope and savior, we ask this of the Father to protect us!
