By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night-Exodus 13:21 NIV
Guidance is an element that we all reap the benefits from. Throughout the Bible it's easy to see where God provided great guidance to His people day in and day out. He not only provided guidance for the people mentioned in the Bible but He also provides that same guidance for you and I as well.
The birth of Jesus is one of the greatest examples of how God truly provides guidance before, during and after a trail of trust. In Matthew 1:20 God sent an angel to resolve all of Joseph doubts (this of course was only the beginning of their highly anticipated journey). Then if we move a little further down to Matthew 2:9,12 & 13 we begin to see the middle of this voyage unfolding. As we continue reading this magnificent story and arrive at Matthew 2:19-23 it becomes remarkably clear that without the guidance of God things could have very easily taken a turn for the worst, which is what King Herod and his subjects were hoping for anyway.
