Father GOD, this holiday season, for many, is the first one without their departed loved ones. Hearts ache with the pain of the loss of those so dear. Father, please embrace, in Your warm everlasting arms, the hurting souls and console them with your blessed assurances.
Your Word, Lord, says in Isaiah 25:8, "...the Lord will wipe away tears..." Let those who grieve, sob, in Your welcome embrace, and receive the releases that only You can fully provide. You are near, Father, in their states of grief. And You love, know, and care - through it all. Healing is a process - Psalm 147:3, "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." Let the wounded souls not feel shame or guilt about the sorrow that grips them. But, please Lord, comfort them with the knowledge that it will ease.
Help us, please Father, to be loving, gentle, and tender with those whose hearts ache. Show us how to minister to them with Your words that help rather than our words which may hinder. Let us be lovingly sensitive, and help, Lord, how You lead.
Thank you, Lord - Amen
