This night as I sit down to write
I pray in Jesus name,
Please give me inspiration Lord,
your glory is my aim.
It may seem strange to those of you
who do not know my Lord,
or those who do but never saught
to understand his word.
But we each have a job to do
to help him in his plan,
you may think you can't do it
but with Jesus help you can.
You may not know your duties yet
but they will come to light,
when his plans have come around
you'll know the time is right.
I know my job and duties now
you see it as you read,
my job to work out sentences
in rhyme about my creed.
Born to be a writer of a sort
for all to see,
born to write for Jesus
it's the gift he's given me.
