The devil is here and trying hard
to knock me down this day,
he knows that God is blessing me
and wants to make me pay.
It just won't work I tell him
I know what it's about,
you see that God is working here
and want to cast a doubt.
When we see a person saved
you see another lost,
and when God adds them to his list
you have to count the cost.
One less soul to fight with you
you try to win us back,
you know our faith is getting strong
and that's why you attack.
You can try and try again
but God is with us all,
and every time you push us down
he's there to break our fall.
It just won't work so give up now
no matter what you do,
I know my Lord and saviour
will be here to help me through.
