The Judgement

This story takes place
in a court far away,
it deals only in justice
and the guilty must pay.

"Your crime is most serious
how do you plead?
what kind of life
did you really lead?"

"My life was not yours Lord
I never believed,
my weak human mind
was completely deceived."

The judge thought of heaven
and decided on this;
this man who had spoken
would join the abyss.

"Next" called the Lord
then entered a child,
the Lord took his hand
and warmly smiled.

"Children are the ones
who make this world shine,
because you are trully,
most definately mine."

The next one in court
was a christian I know,
as soon as he entered
he was free to go.

Who knows what our judgement
and future may hold?
what defence do we have
when the truth has been told.
