Author requests article critique

One night as I began to sleep, I saw a sunny day,
with bright and cheerful flowers and blue skies all the way.

But somewhere in the distance, in the middle of a field,
I saw the darkest figure, his identity concealed.

I opened my eyes to escape, but was curious to see,
why he was there and what he wanted from me.

I close my eyes to see him, he has moved so very near,
and like a giant towers above me, my heart is gripped with fear.

I can't keep my eyes open, so I close them in a prayer,
Jesus give me peace, protect me if you care.

My Lord on his cross appears, between evilness and me,
I feel even smaller than before as his enormity I see.

Evil will surround me daily, but will never ever touch,
the Lord Jesus protects, because he loves me so much.

I cannot fight with evil, but my Lord Jesus can,
and he protects me better than any earthly man.

I prayed for his protective blood, he didn't let me go,
and I now know he'll be here between me and every foe.
