THOUGHT FOR TODAY: "Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly love children..." Ephesians 5:1
I am the proud mother of two beautiful blessings that I call daugthers. My Lord has been good to me and has provided for me the best wisdom to teach my daugthers. The wisdom I speak of does not come from a text book or from the internet, no my friend, it comes from the Bible. Daily I pour His words into me so that I remain as pure as I can. His words teach me how to act and how to speak and how to think; His words teach me to imitate Him. Constantly I find my 18month old daugther following me around and copying my every move. She sees me lotion up her little 5 week old sister so she copies and tries to lotion up her dolls. My precious blessing does her best to help me with the dishes, with sweeping, and all the other household chores. What she copies are not bad behaviors at all because I pour God's word into me and by doing so I learn to imitate Him. I know that if it wasn't for God's Word teaching me to imitate Him, I would be teaching my daugther the wrong things such as smoking and drinking. Praise God that He gives us His Word to teach us to imitate Him. By imitating Christ we show our little ones how to imitate Him as well.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for giving us Your Word. Thank You for teaching us to imitate You so that we, in return, can teach our children how to imitate You. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN!
