The tides pull, ebb and flow,
moves against rock, sand and time,
these are familiar things we know.
the moon paints paths on water or snow
beckoning us to You,
We timidly step out onto mercury trails
not knowing, afraid that we could fail.
faith is the stepping out, the forward motion.
No looking back lest we become pillars of frail
salt, bitter and unmoving, rigid in bone.
cleanse us, remove that which hinders,
that we may simply go.
