Walking in the
woods one day
a strange sight suddenly appeared
A sign saying
Path of life
and it had my name
My curiosity aroused
I started down what
seemed to be a captivating trail
As I looked about
I saw pictures of
me as a child
Being held by
my mother and
playing with my dad
I heard a gentle voice
say" I am here"
Startled , yet surprisingly I felt a peace
Going further down the
path the clouds drew near
and the rain began to pour
I saw a video on the
my left side which showed
being teased and abused
I felt loneliness and fear
I started to shake with fright
and there seemed to be no shelter
Again I hear the gentle voice
"I am here "
Low and behold I saw a cabin to stay warm
When the storm subsided
I continued my journey
I noticed a man about my age
Something in his eyes
attracted me to him
and he seemed to know my heart
We went many miles and I
knew he was to be with
me for a lifetime
Wedding bells rang
as we stopped at a meadow
The birds and flowers sang of joy!
The gentle voice again says
" I am here."
What a wonderful day!
I see a tornado ahead
We have to run for cover!
But it's too late
We are in the middle
of chaos and overwhelmed
by the challenges of life
Sickness and death
Loss and pain
How will we survive?
I hear the gentle voice
saying" I am here."
My soul is comforted
As we walk the path
we see a wondrous meadow
We are able to experience deep faith
We seem to dance with
creation and we realize
our purpose and love for God and each other
" I am here"
The voice seems to celebrate with us
as we travel out path of life
Then the ultimate pain
The love of my life dies
My soul mate is no longer with me
I want to hide and
stop walking my path
How can I without my love?
But as I weep uncontrollably the voice says
" I am here.We will
continue the journey together."
Something is his voice
sturs my heart and
I start taking one step then another
I find others on the path
who have lost loved ones
We have a sacred bond
We travel the path
but one by one they
have to leave
Two close friends
stay with me and
we hold hands as we go throught life
Then the Doctor says,
" I am sorry but you have
two weeks to live."
Fear overwhelms my being
What will happen?
What will it be like?
My two friends stay
with me and together
we pray
As my eyes begin to close
I hear the voice
" I am here"
This time I see
Jesus and realize
he was with me the entire time
He carries me in his arms
and says" Now I am taking
you home"
