This was the report many years ago when Tony Blair was the British Prime Minister.
How remarkable that a Cabinet Secretary could wield such powers on a Prime Minister, foist his non-religious agenda on a government and prevent the Prime Minister to vocalise his religious beliefs.
Alistair Campbell became well-known for that statement. It was as if he had said something usual. However, he said openly what most people say privately by their actions.
For instance, when a school sacks a teacher because she offered to pray with a student, that school is saying the same thing: ‘we don’t do God.’
When you witness to people about their need of salvation and they tell you: ‘I’m alright’ or they give the cold shoulders, that is what they are saying.
A Christian went witnessing door-to-door and came in contact with a wealthy man. Who took the disciple to his garage and told him, ‘ look at that car , it’s mine all paid for this house is mine. I have two children in the university. What do I need your Jesus for?
What was he saying to the Christian? ‘I don’t do God. I am self-sufficient.’
During a presentation in America, Marylyn Monroe was approached by Evangelist Billy Graham. He had a message for her from God: to turn her life over to Him. She retorted, ‘I don’t need your Jesus’. A week later she was found dead in her apartment from a drug over-dose.
What was she saying to Billy Graham?: ‘I don’t do God.’
In Campinas, Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend......
The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried
about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter
holding her hand, who was already seated in the car:
'My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You..'
She responded: 'Only If He (God) travels In the trunk, ‘cause Inside here......it's already full
'
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died,
The car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact
The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact.
To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken
What was this girl saying to her mum? ‘Mummy, I don’t do God’ God is surplus to my requirements.’
Are you saying the same thing indirectly by your attitude to the things of God?
God said in His word I set before you, blessing and cursing, Life and death. Choose life and live.
Can I say to you, do God and live. Do God and have peace with God.. Do God and enter the kingdom of God. Do God and pass from death to life. Do God and have your sins forgiven. Do God and be translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s dear Son. Do God and become a New Creature. The old will go and the New will come. Do God and embark on the journey of significance; enter the narrow road that leads to eternal life. Do God and leave the broad road that leads to destruction damnation and death. Do God and you will see the light.
