Will you still love Him

Shall we accept the good from God and not trouble-Job 2:10 NIV

What will become of your love for Christ when things are turned upside down & inside out? Will you continue to love Him as if nothing has happened? Or will you renounce (to give up, reject or disown) God just as Job’s wife suggested (Job 2:9 AB)?

When the works of his hands and everything that he’s acquired suddenly vanishes into thin air, will he still love You? When the unforeseen takes his family from him, will he still love You? When his body is abruptly covered in unbearable pain, will he still love You? These are the scenarios that Job faced when the devil decided that it was time to put his love affair with Christ to a test.

Do any or all of these events ring a bell? I’ll answer that for you by saying yes, they sure do for me at least. Even if none of these events have surfaced in your life, the devil has still presented the question of “WILL SHE/HE STILL LOVE YOU” to Christ, our Lord and Savior.

I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy and steadfast love because you haven’t given me into the hand of the enemy-Psalm 31:7&8 AB.
