Cherokee Rose

Where every mothers tears fall
Let your faith and love grow there
A white rose grows for each drop
Turning your trail of tears into prayer

Pleasing the aroma of trust and grace
Pure gold, is the center of your love
Tender the leaves that cradle the bloom
Lovely white petals, pure as the Dove

The Lord cherishes the comely blossom
The tender chute that grows of Thee
Thy Word , our protection in the thorns
Wondrous, breathtaking, all born of He

Grown in strength that cannot be moved
Cherokee Rose , the beautiful flower
Weep no more, mothers of the homeland
Jesus, holds us all with His love and power

This poem touched my heart. My daughter is part Cherokee. We ministered to the Navajo for several years as missionararies. My friend, suffers from depression that often brings tears. May the Lord continue to bless as you write for Him.

Nice, it held me until the end. Well done.

Beautiful Judy and Mick's oldest brother died yesterday and we send a white bouquet including those roses. We can't go - Mick is the only superintendent right now as the other one is off on vacation hunting and can't be reached.... Mick is one of 11 kids and not sure this one knew Jesus (he was out of the house already when Mick was born....)

What can I say about this wonderful piece except it is as beautiful as the finest rose to the eyes,,smooth as velvet to the heart, and as loud as the most brilliant red to the soul!!
