THE BLESSING OF LEADERSHIP 3
When we develop our leadership ability, we enhance our ability to maximize our destiny. This is because leadership offers us numerous blessings. We have examined some of these blessings. We conclude this journey by exploring one more benefit of leading people. Leading people will empower us to build a dream team.
Every dream needs a team to become a reality. If our vision will make the difference we hope it will create in the world, then we need a dream team. A dream team is a family with one vision. They share one love, the love they have for a vision-a vision that has given their individual lives a meaning, a vision they are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve. For example, I have a dream of writing a book. There are certain aspects of accomplishing the dream where I need help from people. I need the expertise of a publisher to publish the book. A dream team empowers me to do what I can do and can’t do in fulfilling my vision. It will make provision for where I am weak and strong.
The fact is there will be times when you will not be physically present to directly do what God has called you to accomplish. You may need to take a vacation to relax and renew your strength. Your attention may be needed in urgent matters outside the scope of your vision. Your vision doesn’t have to be put on hold at such times. Your dream can still take shape even when you are not physically present at the forefront of the task. This is the power of a dream team.
Most dreams that live a footprint on the sands of time outlive their pioneer. We need a dream team to be a blessing to our world long after we are gone. And we can’t build a successful dream team without being effective leaders.
As you continue to build people, God will grant you access to greater resources. You will identify and build your dream team. Your dream team will help you succeed.
