Heaven’s College

We are members of Heaven’s college
Our Heavenly Father is the Founder
The Bible is our text book
The Holy Spirit is our instructor and counselor
Jesus paid for it all
We learn daily through our walk
Serving others and leaning on Jesus
By imitating Him we learn well
Some of the lessons seem hard so the counsel
Of the Holy Spirit we seek
There is a course in prayer
This one we gladly attend
Covering all the issues of life
The Founder of our faith put this in the curriculum
Instructions are one on one
The course on love is our favorite
We all come to class with expectation
Learning to love even our enemies
And to put our neighbors on the same level as ourselves
Our grades could improve
Included is the one we often neglect
Worship is the title it is given
We often study just enough to get by
Playing catch up when things are going not so well
Then slack again we become
The hardest course in this school
Is the one labeled faith
It takes the most time and effort
When test time comes we so often fail miserably
The Holy Spirit is very patient
There are no alumni on earth
As this is a school for life
We graduate only when death comes
And receive our diploma in Heaven with honors
We are members of Heaven’s college
Excellent, Thomas! Truth with every verse. I never received my diploma from man's college, but I'm looking forward to the day when I will receive my diploma from Heaven's College :) Now, back to class ... Blessings, Jody
