I just love the things of God. The closer my walk gets with Jesus. The less of this old world I want. The world is so full of rude, arrogant, selfish people, it is unreal. Thank God for the Spirit of the Lord, who gives us wisdom on how to deal with them! I find myself on the computer more and more. Writing stories, reading the Word, looking up devotions and checking my facebook and faithwriters, and etc.
Entertainment is just becoming awful. It is not entertainment to me, with all the sex, murders and killing. The language on just regular channels is ridiculous and the blood and gore makes me nauseous. The evil coming out on some of these other channels is very disturbing to my spirit. We watch mostly TBN or the old TV programs from back in the good ole days, when they were still clean. I have decided I can make more of a difference, writing and trying to glorify God, rather than watching that nasty stuff on TV.
I don't want that going in my spirit. The eyes and the ears are the windows to the soul. I want my spirit filled with the things of God. As I get closer, He is stirring me, He starts revealing things to me that I could never imagine or understand on my own. I don't get the least bit bored with the things of God. Working in a Christian Bookstore is like being a kid in a candy store for me. I love it. Everywhere you look, It's All About God! They have Christian music, jewelry, toys, books, decorations, everything.
I long to be closer to Him everyday! He is showing me so much. My soul is so excited about what He is doing. I do feel a stirring in soul and in my spirit. At Church, at work, at our courthouse devotions, in public places and at home, God is opening doors to do His work and lives are being changed. I think it is only the beginning, of what God wants to do.
You know what though? If you’re not interested, then you’re not going to be the one He shows His hidden treasures too. I invite you to join in and let God work in your life, stir up your spirit and show you the miraculous things He can do. All it takes is a willing heart! It takes a hungry heart for God.
Salvation did not come free. Jesus paid for it. He paid it on the nail for all of us. He suffered and died to give us eternal life. Can we not give him our time, our love, our attention, our heart? I know that we have not seen anything yet, of what Christ wants to pour out into our lives. He wants to do a new thing! Are you Ready? Get Ready, Get Ready, Get Ready! Woooohoooo! It's already great. It's going to get even greater, my friend!
