Remorse arrives in many shapes,
In frowns, in tears, regret;
So ALL of us (somewhere in Life)
These silhouettes have met.
We needn't think that life will be
A 'cake walk' every day;
(And don't expect a cordial smile
From ALL along your way!)
The times will come when you will wish
You'd gone another route;
(And there'll be days you'll wonder
If you KNOW...what life's about.)
These moments pass and in their place
A special peace will dwell;
(It's true, you didn't do your BEST;
But still it came out well!)
Regret's a cheap imposter
(That redirects one's course);
So be remorseful for the time
You spend in deep remorse.
