I Will Never Leave Thee
Thomas Kittrell
03/01/07

This is a poem I wrote that I lost my copy of and had forgotten. To my delight, I saw it yesterday on the website of a very dear friend, Janice Ramkissoon. I was blessed as I read it, not because I wrote it, but because of the promise God has made us, to never leave us. Thank you, Janice, for preserving this one for me. God bless you.

When the oceans roar, and the waves are high
When the mountains quake, and the earth trembles
When the storm clouds roll, and fierce winds blow
Our God is still on His throne, and we are not alone

When nations go to war, and there is no hint of peace
When crime increases, and there is murder on our streets
When sickness invades, and our bodies become frail
Our God is still on His throne, and we are not alone

When jobs play out, and all our debts are long overdue
When parents divorce, and little children are neglected
When bosses are demanding, and we are overworked
Our God is still on His throne, and we are not alone

When politics is crooked, and Christians are persecuted
When praying is outlawed, and Bibles are burned
When laws are corrupt, and there seems to be no hope
Our God is still on His throne, and we are not alone

2007 Thomas E. Kittrell

Hebrews 13:5 KJV Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

You're welcome Thomas. Thank you for being obedient in writing it in the first place and thank you again for re-posting it. It was timely for me. I needed the reminder that my Heavenly Father will never leave me nor forsake me. Love to you and Mary and God's continued blessings!

The Lord tells us, Lo I'm with you always even until the end of the world...your poem brings those words to the center of our hearts...even in great calamity...He is with us...this is a beautiful power representation of the Holy Spirit working through you....Thank you for bringing your gift to the masses...this will change someone's path...To God be the Glory for the things HE has done!

We share a common friend :) This poem reminds us of a most important promise sure to encourage and bring hope to our heart, especially in the times we now find ourselves in. Well written, but how could it not be when it is obvious you were just relaying a message the Lord impressed upon you!
