TEACH US TO WAIT ON YOU
When thoughts are less lofty
And hearts in melody dearth,
When mouths sweet words restrain,
Teach us to wait on You.
When voices lack sweetness,
And our music rhythms wants,
Teach us praise beyond songs,
Teach us to wait on You.
When all of man's tongues fail,
Names we call You least fitting,
Teach spirits Your new name,
Spirits waiting, to worship!
