I lift my eyes to Your Holy Hill of Zion,
And a melody of harmony and peace transports my soul
Unto the presence of My Rock, My Banner and My King.
Its sound bring gladness and blessing to my soul.
Lord, I offer to you a contrite heart of repentance.
Its blood I freely give, just as Your son did.
My worries, doubts, and fears I lay beneath the cross.
I pick up my faith instead, may it delight Your eye to see.
I choose to lay my sacrifice of praise upon the altar
May it be a sweet fragrance to Your Spirit.
Let the aroma of my heart’s obedience
Be a delightful bouquet, a pleasant perfume in Your nose.
Tears of joy dance as notes upon a score.
They rise, fall, and bow humble to thee.
For your love has set them free
And they know happiness once more.
Lord, I bring to you a song of praise
It burst forth from the rivers of joy inside me
Over flowing its banks and inundating my soul.
May its song be as uplifting to You as it is to me.
My voice is lifted up high in astonishment at Your promises.
It falls just as quickly in awe of Your righteousness and holiness.
It freely offers tribute to You, My Savior, Provider, and Master.
May my Lord find its applause, enjoyable incense.
Doves coo a lullaby of love softly in the morn.
The lark’s melody dances happily across the pasture.
Chickadees chirp out the good news to all creation.
Like me, they can do no less than sing Your praise.
My many blessings flow across my mind
Laughter and joy bubble up; breaking free
And releasing the chains of sorrow that imprisoned me.
May my blissful glee be wonderful music to Your heart.
I am still resting in the remembrance of Your Love.
It is unconditional, unchanging, all encompassing.
So tender, kind, forgiving, and merciful is it
My heart sings in silence to You, what word cannot convey.
For deep within my inner being comes a moan of love.
Its utterances still cannot communicate the depth of my feelings.
How do you express thanks for so great a love?
May You look into my heart and see my love for thee.
I will shout it from the mountain’s tops
And from the valleys of despair and pain
I still will sing in joy to You
For with you nothing is impossible.
Your joy is inside me for You are there.
It does not come from circumstances.
It is a choice I choose to make.
I may not be able to see the end, but You are there.
I may not know the reasons for my trials,
But I know my hope, I know Your heart.
In You there is victory, so I sing.
Sing again, my soul, of joy forever more.
