Because I am Known

“I will dwell with you and walk among you”
God gives His most blessed assurance
Castaway we’re not, His promise in view
Whatever is true, whatever is honorable
Whatever is lovely, whatever is pure
This is our Lord, His rest is secure
All the days gone by, never have been alone
Cause the power of His presence
Walking every day, His residence ever shown
Knowing as yet I ought to know
Only part was sought by me
Understanding not that I was known
Today I begin anew
Seeking first, the fruit of His love
Believing fervently, His grace from above
Why I’m here today, testimony of His faith
Making it my aim, to know as I am known
Always He abides, His presence shown
If anyone loves God, this one is known
His Spirit poured out, as from the dove
Resting ever, in One whom I am known
AMEN
