For thousands of years day after day the religious Jews obviously mediated, preached and meticulously practised the Old Testament scripture portions without comprehending the glorious mystery of Christ and His Church. Their ignorance and blindness mercilessly tortured and crucified the Messiah who came from Heaven to save them through a new covenant. The anointed One who wrote the New Testament with His blood was murdered by His own people who rejected Him. After hanging around in the Old Testament for two thousand years after Christ Israel still hasn’t realized who Christ is.
All scripture is undisputedly God breathed, but the significance of the New Testament scripture make us celebrate our life with Christ eternally. Because He wrote the new covenant to us with His own blood which He shed on the cross for us. For this Christ broke His heart and cried Eli Eli lamma shabackthaani and gave His Holy breath to the Abba Father. If we don’t deeply contemplate the New Testament insights, we may not conceive the fullness of the life in Christ from meditating the Old Testament alone. Paul said in Eph 3:5, “This mystery was never disclosed to human beings in past generations as it has now been revealed to His Apostles and Prophets by the Holy Spirit”. Holy Spirit the Great Teacher alone can unfold the immeasurable knowledge of God in the New Testament scripture. Paul again said in 1Cori 2: 6-13 “We speak God's wisdom in a mystery, that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory: which none of the rulers of this world hath known: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Paul is explaining how the mystery was hidden and how the unfolding of these deeper things of God is done, “But as it is written, Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, And [which] entered not into the heart of man, Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him. But unto us God revealed [them] through the Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Spirit teaches; combining spiritual things with spiritual [words].”
Christ came to redeem us and build us as God's dwelling place. In Calvary He bought us with a price and Father moulds us as His Temple where His Spirit dwells. King David was seeking this marvellous beauty of holiness in a building where God’s glory dwelled. But after Christ manifested in the flesh, Glory left the buildings and started to dwell in the Temple Christ was building with the living stones who accepted His Lordship.
Before the crucifixion, Christ saw the mind-boggling disorder in His Father's house in Jerusalem. There the Lion of Judah roared at the wicked men who turned the House of worship into a market place. As they trembled in fear, Lord turned the business tables upside down and with a whip made out of cords and He threw the sales men and their stocks out of the house. With a burning zeal Lord restored the degraded house of prayer which became a den of thieves. He said, "Destroy this Temple; I will build it in three days". Even today It still consumes Him when we are not led by the Spirit through complete obedience of our faith. And it is written God will destroy those who destroy His Temple that is kept holy by the sanctifying works of the Holy Spirit.
On earth His body was the Temple of the Holy Spirit. After He sacrificed His body in the Altar of Calvary, God fulfils His promise. From then the Holy Spirit comes on all flesh that thirsts for God like a deer who pants for water. After the crucifixion, the Temple curtain got torn and Christ became the Door to the Throne Room of God. If we always seek and know the perfect will of God we can renew our mind to sin no more and please God through following the New Testament insights. Submit to God and constantly resist devil the tempter, here the blood of Christ will justify us and make us worthy to enter the Throne of grace and receive the abundance of grace to remain spotless through uniting with Christ. Here the gates of Hades will never degrade the House of prayer, because our Lord and King abides is us.
Paul said in Colo 1:25-28, I became a minister in accordance with the Divine stewardship which was entrusted to me for you as its object and for your benefit, to make the Word of God fully known to you.” The mystery of which was hidden for ages and generations [ from angels and men], but is now revealed to His holy people, To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of Glory. Him we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone and instructing everyone in all wisdom , that we may present every person mature (full-grown, fully initiated, complete, and perfect) in Christ (the Anointed One)”.
Remember, even Christ never completely disclosed what Holy Spirit is appointed to reveal to those who commune with Him. Lord said, in John 16:12-14 "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you”.
Today, those who deny themselves to take the cross and follow Christ become the part of the Temple of the Holy Spirit, which is the Body of Christ on earth. Constantly stay in communion with the Holy Spirit, earnestly seek the heart of the Father and joyfully live the mind of Christ, and then God’s glory will rest upon us forever!!! Let nothing separate us from the love of Christ. Amen Amen!!!!
