A little girl so full of life
Never causing any strife
A talented musical protégé
Was taken away quite suddenly.
Her parents were in such despair
To find their angel wasn’t there
They didn’t know what else to do
The police were called without any ado.
The policemen came in quite a scurry
Called Amber Alert in a hurry
Her parents and friends kept vigil there
While the police continued searching everywhere.
Five months later in a valley
A man walking his dog stumbled badly
Forensic scientists have discovered
Cecilia’s body was uncovered.
Why did this angel have to die?
Why do her parents have to cry?
Someday the culprit will be captured
And then these questions will be answered.
Cecilia is smiling now in the sky
Not a worry, strife or cry
Jesus holds the child there
While here she’s missed by those who care.
