I was talking to one of my sons recently.
We were talking about doing well and being successful in this life. I recalled a piece of advice that I have been giving all my sons since they were babies.
I said, Son,...Everything in life without Jesus,,,,,is nothing, But nothing in life with Jesus is everything! However, I tell you it is impossible to have Jesus in your life and have nothing!
Oh you may look around what I do have and think it to be little or almost nothing, but since the day I asked Jesus to come into my heart, Jan 2, 1970 I have been the richest man in the world.
My Father owns the cattle on a 1,000 hills and all the universe belongs to Him, and what belongs to Him belongs to me.
Now tho' you may not see those riches in my wallet or surroundings, I assure you that I have a golden mansion that's silver lined in Heaven, diamond doorknobs and emarald gates to my home. Even tho'I only asked for a shack by the side of the river, God wanted me to have only His best, and I guarantee you I ain't gonna turn it down!
I said son,,,,,,,,It's kinda like the poem i once wrote that goes like this....
When I was young and in my prime,
I thought the world was surely mine,
"I'd get rich" I said, "I ain't the kind to plow,"
But it seems the older that I got,
I surely had to learn alot,
For I been plowing some 50 odd years now.
So I guess that wisdom comes with age,
and God decides each person's wage,
for only God determines rich or poor,
So if in life there's aught to gain,
It's to believe in Jesus name,
cuz there ain't no plowing in heaven,
and that's for sho'r.
