Blow the trumpet loud on God’s Feast
Awake the sleeping slumbers
To examine their hearts and souls
And clean out every form of evil
From their hearts and from their ways.
Blow the trumpet gleefully on Zion’s hill
Remember who created man in His image
And breathe life and love into his soul.
Recall He who set the rainbow in the sky
And causes blessing to rain down on man.
Blow the trumpet gratefully from Jerusalem’s top
Announcing to all God’s holy promise
First to Abraham and then to all the world
Of life, love, forgiveness, blessing, and protection
Beyond man’s wildest dreams or hopes.
Blow the trumpet in the Holy of Holies
The veil has been ripped from top to bottom.
Man’s salvation has come down from heaven
And has been raise up to live forevermore
Giving us free access to the Blessed Father.
Blow the trumpet across Israel’s promise land
Awake the Jews and Gentiles alike
For they have been made one new man
Proclaiming God’s plan of salvation to the world
United them again with one heart of love.
Blow the trumpet one finial time on Jesus’ arrival
For soon and very soon, he is coming back
To claim His children and bring them home
The dead will rise and meet Him in the sky
And all the world will know that He is King.
