Christian Living
One word to sum up if you like the principle of life, could be; “connectivity”. This principle has been applied to all sciences, including social. It has also been applied to Christian Living or Living In The Spirit of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Mindful study and careful observation and analysis clearly show the “connection” across all things on earth.
It would appear, at least through my own application of these principles when I “tested” them that indeed all things are connected and not one on the chain will remain unaffected by any one event of other connections to it. This could be seen as the “domino effect”; touch one and they all fall.
Einstein might have labelled this effect as; “human relativity” when singling out the principle of people being relevant to each other literally. God certainly knew of this scientific and spiritual principle that would ensure we all live our lives with abundance and joy with much fewer perils to encounter and overcome.
What I cannot understand is why the majority of the world’s population cannot understand such a simple concept. For many Christians, including myself, we have been challenged in hanging onto this essential principle of Christian ethics and theology that hold our lives together that even our conventional scientists will support by majority. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the “impact” on others when one makes a decision or performs an action that may not be in “everyone’s” interest. This it seems is where “ground zero” (basic level: the most basic level or starting point for an activity), introduces and induces conflict between nations, communities, families, couples and even within individuals themselves.
I once believed life was so very simple; simply follow “The 10 Commandments”, and live according to God’s Word, how could one go wrong? What I didn’t realize until well into my adult years when I escaped my sheltered life-style to take on the world, was that other people didn’t adhere as diligently as I did to The 10 Commandments. I had always believed, and still do, that living one’s life according to 10 simple rules could alleviate so much misery for all concerned. My son quite often said to me; “mum, not everyone thinks like you do”! Well, no doubt he was right.
I did find that indeed not many do think the way I do. I really thought there were oodles of Christian people out there, but sadly, I found not too many of them were “real” Christians any more. I had found the most chilling account of a new theory many Christians had adopted was; “while it doesn’t impact on me I don’t care”. When a woman I believed was a true and dear friend had said this without shame or remorse I felt mortified! “How could she”, I thought to myself. I was in disbelief that such an apparent loving and caring person was capable of such callous (insensitive and thoughtless), behavior and malice toward others. It was at this point, with such a gross betrayal of the image I had built of her, my “child-like” world and my vision of friendship with her was shattered. I realized later through my own relationship with God, that I had; “seen the world by majority through the eyes of just one person”. I didn’t like what I saw, heard and felt. But a necessary element of my life if I were to finally “grow up” and see the world, (by majority) for how it “really” is.
Spiritually, I had grown up when I was little, discovery God mostly through trauma as a small child. I was given the “gift” of Faith, to know who God was and the role He played in my life and everyone else’s. For me, God has all ways come first in everything I do. Actually, very few decisions I would have ever made for myself, knowing God was better equipped to make them for me. All my life I have believed I had sound knowledge of the mechanics of Spirituality, although, what I wasn’t aware of, was the “evil” side of it. Those who disconnect with the Spirit of God and re-side with the spirit of Satan, only to find they come crashing down into a heap. Unlike God, Satan does not keep his promises and as nature is, all evil returns to its source as does good also. Hence why God says; “we reap what we sow”. Today, in the modern-day world, people call this “karma”, two different words having exactly the same meaning.
Of everything I learned and came to understand over a 3 year period, only one question for me still remains; “how can people be foolish enough to believe they are not affected by others on the chain of life”? It seems they’re selfishness, ego, greed and jealousy blind them to a false sense of reality, and for those I truly pity who are shallow of mind, body and spirit, for theirs is lost through God’s children to carry for them a cross to lighten their load and they burn the bridges before them.
Connectivity is the key to health, wealth and prosperity, however, as I have found also, many have a delusional concept of what “real” wealth and prosperity truly are. I believe they cannot see reality because they are “disconnected” from their Creator, many of us call God, our very own life-force. Spirituality I believe is the “mirror” of reality to shine over all our lives the image of truth, thus what we “reflect” in our hearts can truly be seen in the physical world and affects everyone.
