Every man that made an irrefutable impact on this world was a successful leader. In other words we have to be successful leaders, if we desire to make a difference in our world. There are certain benefits that accrue from developing people. The import of these benefits is to enhance the fulfillment of destiny. Leadership will help you:-
• Add value to people.
Leaders have been identified as “Problem Solvers.” They have the ability to identify solutions where others merely see problems. They also perceive problems as opportunities to add value to people. There is always an opportunity in every problem. The Wright brothers identified an opportunity in the problem of flying in the air and built the airplane. When you develop your leadership ability, you gain the capacity to identify opportunities and solve problems. The attitude of recognizing opportunities and solving problems is synonymous to adding value to lives.
• Build people.
This is the result of solving problems. The slogan of a major telecommunications company in Nigeria was “Making life better.” When we add value to lives, we empower them to live a better life. Making life better for an individual is synonymous to building them. Someone said “The largest room in the world is the room for improvement.” Everybody has a need for development. As long as we are on this side of eternity, we lack one form of perfection or the other. We have an area where we need others to build us. God orchestrates each destiny to meet a need. When that need is met, the individual is enlarged to live a better life.
As you solve problems for humanity, your name will be an answer to somebody’s prayer. You will make a difference in your time. Generations after you will feel your impact. You will fulfill destiny.
