What Is Truth?

John 18:37, 38
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered,Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end
was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is
of the truth heareth my voice.
Pilate therefore saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

The Answer?!?

Truth is where we find “no fault at all” as did Pilate.
The “truth” is where there is no error, no fault , no missing the mark, no failure.

John 8:32
And Ye Shall Know The Truth, And The Truth Shall Make You Free.

What are some of the truths contained in John 8:32?

• This sentence is many times quoted this way, “the truth shall set you free.” The difference between set free and make free is this; enough money can set someone free from jail, but the ability to make new wants and desires inside a human being will not only set them free from jail, but keep them from going back. Consequently, make means set but set doesn’t mean make.
• Consider this about the truth; problems in life require the discovery of the truth behind what went wrong to resolve the problem.
• Knowing or having knowledge about a difficult situation is always the prerequisite to escaping the trouble within that situation.
• What is true freedom? It isn’t doing anything you want to do; it’s wanting to do those things which are good for you.
• The word truth in this sentence isn’t just a collection of facts; to a greater degree of benefit, the truth is a personality or a person and relates to this statement: It’s not what you know but who you know in life that offers the best gain.
• Knowing this person doesn’t mean to know of them; it means to have knowledge as a result of entering into a relationship with them.
• This sentence is a mathematical equation ; To Know = To be Made Free
• The word “shall” is used twice in this sentence and implies future achievement of knowing and being made. In other words this sentence denotes a process.
• The words “shall know” implies that one will not only know and understand the challenges they presently face, but their past and their future become illuminated as well: They will have the knowledge to understand where they have been, where they are and where they are going.
• This knowing illuminates the calling or the purpose in one’s life.
• Being “made free” gives us the knowledge and understanding of servant hood. That might not sound too attractive but servant hood promotes leadership. (Romans 6:18)
• This sentence represents core truths that run through and are embodied in every stage of these bullet points.
• This sentence doesn’t just mark the beginning of the explanations that resolve problems; it is Gods promise which causes us to be victors at the end.
• The greatest tools the enemy uses against us are found in the strategy of keeping us in a state of not knowing what we are not aware of or lack consciously. Truth gives life to knowledge or better said, Truth infuses life into that lack of awareness.
• Truth fuels our spirit and satisfies the requirements needed for reaching our optimum potential.
• Gods word is Truth.
• Because Truth has infinite depth ; these bullet points could never end.

How is Gods word operating within us?

John 4:2
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

This verse describes what three component parts come together within a human being, to feed and fuel the human machine. Spiritual growth and progression occur when these three things unify in relationship within us, operationally acting as one.

They are:

“in spirit”

God’s Spirit (Better known as the Holy Spirit)

Our spirit (Better identified in and as the” breath of life”)

“and in truth”

Truth (Better known as Jesus, the Word, the Bible.)

All of human capacity and capability are contained within spiritual progression and development. Moreover, spiritual oneness with God reveals the essence of life, growing to become a lifestyle or focus, having our purpose and passion enveloped therein. When we accept Jesus into our lives, the Spirit of Truth (Holy Spirit) enters in, making His abode with our spirit. The stage is now set for us to progressively fulfill John 4:2 as we feed on truth. Another way to say it is that truth seeds in and fuels our spirit.
John 8:32 is describing and making promises as to the creative outcome of the these three elements coming togeher; our spirit ,
the Holy Spirit and truth.
We can see Gods creative process in the number three. We are identified in three parts, our blood has three parts, the earth is the third planet from the sun, the atom has three parts, Jesus ministry lasted three years, He was thirty years old when He began and thirty three years old when He died. Over and over the number three appears.
The ability to remain focused on God as the world attempts to seduce us requires that we offer, or give of ourselfs to the Lord. By certainly no coincidence, this gift to God may be identified by one word and is written three times in John 4:23. It is the word ”WORSHIP.”

John 4:23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
