I know that it would sadden you to see my heart grieve so;
but it seems no matter how I try, I can't stop the tears that flow.
Throughout each day I think of you in oh so many ways;
so many precious memories to fill each of my days.
Oh, how I long to speak with you and hear your voice once more.
To share with you my life each day, just as we did before.
To hold your hand and kiss your cheek; to see your smiling face;
to wrap my arms around you in a loving, warm embrace.
My life has such an empty void, for you were such a part;
God holds you safe within his arms, I hold you in my heart.
So please forgive my silent tears, and those that sometimes flow;
I can't help my aching heart and the way it loves you so.
