As Seasons Pass
In the dead of winter
when bones are chilled by cold North winds,
when snowflakes flutter
and the fireplace roars -
Iíll cherish the warmth your memory lends.
In the spring of the year
when life again bursts forth anew,
when the skies are blue
and the earth is green -
Iíll behold each wonder with thoughts of you.
In the lull of summer
as I stroll the path along lifeís way,
when the children laugh
and all hearts are light -
Iíll treasure your love in my heart each day.
In the fall of the year
when all of nature prepares to sleep
when the pumpkins frost
and the roses fade -
Iíll recall your passing and I will weep.
