Dear friend,
One reason we hardly or don't seek direction is because we don't trust God - we think we already know the answers! - Prov.3:5,6.
But let's be sure of this, the effort, struggle and desperation of a drowning man are quite incomparable to that of a trained swimmer. One thinks with better effort and skill, success in life is a piece of cake, while the other must have a miracle or nothing less! One often fails full of pride, while God often helps the other, because he asks for help often! Pray without ceasing! Ps.146:1-10; Pr.3:5, 6; Jer.17:5-10.
How then do we put our trust and confidence in an invisible God, knowing he’s actually invincible? We do that by taking and hiding His Word in our hearts. Trusting God’s infallible Word believes God absolutely. That is the faith that must promote us from our comfort and secure zone to where the miracles happen. The necessary shift from putting our trust in men to fixing our hearts on God’s Word is a major step to Christian maturity.
Faith is endangered by security but absolutely secured in the midst of danger! Perhaps you’ve waited too long, oblivious to the fact that God has been waiting for you to act all this while! You see, even small steps or beginnings, done faithfully and regularly, produce the grace and confidence for great accomplishments. Experience and expertise are natural products of tenacious and meticulous effort. If you’ll simply take a deep breath, shun your fears and take a leap towards that situation, you’d suddenly discover that you’ve started something worthwhile. Faith can’t fail!
It’s virtually impossible to give direction to a stationary vehicle. When we dare to start, then, like a flood, comes divine direction, wisdom, grace, anointing, confidence, and of course peace. We will never know any of these without a prayerful attempt.
What if we fail? Well, congratulations that you did what pleased God – you acted in faith! Heb.11:6. Remember this, God promotes, protects, projects and provides for whatever He approves as His will or command. He’ll definitely foot the bill if it’s His will.
Prayer is the generator and revealer of God’s grace. The grace of God really means, GOD AT WORK, for us! God will always exceed our capacity! Great prayer, coupled with great faith (action) produces great grace. Don’t delay, review and upgrade your personal prayer pattern. Develop better action plans, programs and strategies with boldness. Put together a formidable team. Always work as a team. It takes team work to make a dream work. Acts 4:24-33; 2Cor.8:9; Eph.2:8, 9; Eph.4:9-12.
Have a glorious day in God's awesome presence.
