When you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins too-Mark 11:25 NLT
Sally and Breanna were the best of friends. They did everything together and were inseparable most of the time. Sally and Breanna even knew each others deepest, darkest secrets and had made a promise to never tell anyone else.
One day Breanna had a very troubled look on her face and her mother asked what was wrong. Well initially Breanna didn't want to tell her mother what was really bothering her. Breanna suddenly remembered that her mother had said "if you don't tell me what's wrong then how can I help you fix it". So she blurted out "Sally wets the bed and is afraid that she'll get in trouble if she tells her mom that she can't remember to go to the bathroom at night". Breanna's mother reply was "oh I see". After the two had finished talking, Breanna's mother placed a phone call to Sally's mother. They talked for about 20 min. and shortly after that Sally's mother made a call to their family doctor. Thankfully, she was able to get an appointment the next day due to a previous cancellation.
On the way to doctor's office Sally and her mother had a long conversation about her bed wetting. Although Sally was very relieved that her mother was now aware of her problem; she was indeed angry that Breanna had opened up her big mouth. How could she and we promised were the words that kept going through her head when she thought about her BFF.
The trip to doctor's office went well. The doctor gave Sally some pills and several new techniques that would help her throughout the night. Now she would never ever have to hide her sheets and or undergarments again.
The entire weekend passed and the girls hadn't spoken to each other once (mainly because Sally refused to take any of Breanna's calls). When school resumed on Monday Breanna ran up to Sally then said "hey girl friend, where have you been all weekend" but Breanna didn't answer and just walked away. Breanna tried talking to Sally all day long but she continued to ignore her. Breanna couldn't figure out what was wrong with Sally and why she was acting this way. This went on for another two days before Breanna's mother finally give Sally's mother a call to fill her in on what was going on between their girls.
Sadly enough Sally couldn't see that Breanna had actually helped her because she was still stewing over the fact that her entrusted secret had been exposed, therefore keeping her from embracing her beloved friend. Have you ever been in Sally's shoes before? We all have but let us remember what Matthew 6:12 CEV (forgive us for doing wrong as for give others) says the next time we're hurt by what someone has done and are tempted to hold onto that hurtfulness.
As in Matthew 5:44 TM & 1 Peter 3:9 NIV-When someone gives you a hard time respond with prayer instead of insult with insult because by doing so you will inherit a blessing.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
