Crawling up from the depths of darkness,
searching for a new light.
A light brighter than the brightest star.
Brighter than the sun and moon.
Reaching…
with both hands stretched up over me.
I peer into a face so beautiful so wonderful.
Guilt and shame fall away
like pieces of a statue being shaped
and molded by the chisel of a master.
I cry out in recognition…Master!
Please, take my hand!
Gently He pulls me up out of the darkness.
Holding me close, enveloped in a loving embrace.
He caresses my hair, lifts my chin, and smiles…
Welcome home my child.
