Serenity’s door unlocked, ajar,
Slowly I enter
In stilled repose I linger
A holy hush
Angelic melodies whisper
An aura of majesty
Permeates
Saturates
My soul.
His presence unlike any other
Sweet smelling savor
Mollifying my senses
An other worldly realm
Now occupies my mind
My heart
My soul.
abandoned love
Consumes me
Now lost, no longer still
My hands thrust heavenward
Dancing, rejoicing
Singing anew.
All heaven joins in with splendor
The throne now empty
Enraptured
My King draws near
Taking my hand
We dance on thin air
Ultimate worship ensues
Surreal, divine
His hallowed touch.

I caputred the moment and could feel myself dancing with the King of Kings. (And, heck, "I can't dance, I'm Baptist") The poem and it's mood puts me in the mind of the song "I Can Only Imagine". I bet someday even us Baptists will dance for Him. Thanks for these beautiful words.
