We experience a lot of painful experiences in our life. They are really teachers for our learning, to bring us to the realization that, discipline and integrity are the order of the day. They remind us our limitedness and keep us dependent with God.
Pain seems to be greater
What a price we have to pay for every indiscretion. There is a price to pay for every careless mistake. We experience pains due to our own mistakes as well as of others. Sometimes the pains we experience are bearable by us, but most of the times they seem to be greater than we can bear.
Comfort that God gives
Pains are natural in our life. But God stands with us proving power and energy to bear the pains and feel the joy that follows every pain.
The comfort of the Word rings out from the Proverbs, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path” (Proverb 3:5) Realize the folly of placing your trust in people and in things rather than God. With much regret you can go back and undo what has already been done.
Despair and depression may follow
Adversities never come alone. Despair and depression surrounds you chasing away all the hopes. If you analyze, you will know that it is at this moment of pains that the warm and welcoming presence of your Abba Father should surround you, bringing comfort and strength to you.
Every pain is an experience taking you closer to God
Every pain should enlighten you with the understanding that every painful experience and every disappointment is really a tool to sharpen and refine you and bring you closer to the Heavenly Father. Your painful experiences should be able to bring you to your rightful place in the Kingdom of God. Your most painful experience, if you continue to endure along with God, will bring you to the place of your greatest triumph.
