I love traveling! When you visit my home, you will see souvenirs from Aruba, Sweden, Jamaica, Haiti, Cancun, Barbados, Rome, Venice, Bahamas, and many more of the islands in the Atlantic Ocean. My dream is to visit Israel!Israel is that beautiful, holy, and historic country. This is the one place in the whole world that I wish to visit before I go home to Heaven.
When I arrive in Israel, I wish to visit the places that Jesus traveled from the Holy Bible. Here are some of the specific places I wish to see in the Middle East in Israel. Jesus was crucified on Mt. Calvary, and he was buried in the borrowed tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. I want to see the Sea of Galilee where Jesus walked on the water and calmed the raging sea. Do you remember when the soldiers came at night to arrest Jesus in the peaceful and sanctified Garden of Gethsemane? Well, I want to see this place too. I wish to see Nazareth, the city that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was born. “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” I wish to see “O little town of Bethlehem”, where Jesus was born. I remember reading how his family quickly left there for Egypt, hiding from the murdering soldiers who sought to kill the Jewish male children for the king. I wish to see the ancient, crumbling Wailing Wall, where prayers are sent up to Heaven twenty-four hours each and every day. ( President Obama visited the Wailing Wall, and he left a written prayer in the wall.) I wish to see the people, the faithful Jews who delight themselves in God's laws and commandments. I wish to see the Red Sea and the Jordan River where God heaped up and opened the waters for the children of Israel to walk safely across to the other side. I want to see the miraculously growing fig trees and the olive trees as they grow in this beautiful land where many of the world's Pulitzer Prize winners were born. I want to visit the busy and loud markets and purchase unusual gifts for my family and friends. I wish to take many pictures to keep for my family's scrapbook.
I know I will be a changed woman. I believe that I will never be the same. I will somehow understand things that I could never have understood until this visit. Members of my home church, Friendship Missionary Church, in Charlotte each year visit Israel. Also, I can plan a trip by going on-line to one of the tele-evangelist's sites on the internet. Then, I believe that wisdom, love, forgiveness, joy, and peace will truly be mine.
