“Lord, what will happen to me
Now that I'm born again?”
“My child, you'll discover
A change in you will begin.”
“What will change, Lord?
Will I be more like You?”
“You'll imitate Me, My child.
You'll behave like I do.”
“Lord, will my thoughts change,
And even the words I say?”
“My child, I live in you now.
You'll be Me in every way.”
“Will I change quickly, Lord
Or will I need time to grow?”
“You know that answer, My child.
It takes a lifetime, you know.”
“Lord, my friends won't like it
If I'm no longer me.”
“My child, it's not about you.
It's about Me in you they see.”
“Now that I'm born again, Lord,
What am I to do?”
“Get to know Me, My child.
Your Father so loves you.”
