As a woman, mother, and all around superwoman of your home it is hard to have any time for yourself. If you are not doing laundry, cooking, cleaning, going to or from a soccer game, being nurse to a sick child or your husband; there is hardly any time left in your day to breath.
We look in the mirror at the beginning of the day and think ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! We put our hair up in a ponytail, don our t-shirt, and casual attire. If we have time or stop to think about our complexion, we dust on some powder, and run out the door to fulfill the days duties!
If you add a full or part time job on top of all of this; it is definetly a miracle to find anytime at all for yourself. Often during our days it seems as if there is no time to even stop and breath. Relaxing is an act that we have forgotten how to perform. To even dream of a day completely to yourself becomes only a fairy tale.
As women it is important for us to find ways to take time for ourselves. Of course if you are anything like myself, you do not have the money to pay for some vacation to an exotic resort of even to pamper yourself at the dayspa in town. At this time I know you must be thinking, I know all of this and your point is??????????
WELL LISTEN UP THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! :)
I have found the answer in a calming creativity.
A hobby that I began several years ago and have cultivated recently into something amazing. It is something that takes a minimal investment to begin but nothing extravagent or outrageous. Several years ago I began beading. It does not take any special talent, a small amount of time each day, along with some supplies you can pick up on your weekly ritual trip to the wonderful place called Walmart!
You will need some wire, crimps, beading tools, beads, and clasps. If you know how to shop and have a creative mind your beginning cost should not exceed $50.
Not only is making something with your hands calming but your finished product is definetly gratifying. You can make any kind of jewelry to accesorize your favorite outfit. Jewelry can be made and given as gifts to your friends and family of all ages. You can also use your homemade handiwork as a way to make a little spending money. I have never met a woman who can resist a piece of jewelry that suits her fancy! :) With you buying your own materials and it is much easier to have lower prices than competitors but also superior work!
It is fun, easy, a lovely way to spend an evening! I am confident that you too will find joy, excitement, and relaxation in this calming creativity!
