I know your preschoolers are at the beginning of their lives, but it is never too early to begin teaching them to praise God as long as they live. Psalm 63:4 says this: I will praise you as long as I live and in Your name I will lift up my hands. For some of us, praising God may last for a long time here on earth and then on into eternity. Just ask Methusalah! He was the oldest person in the Bible. Or better yet, why not play this Bible school activity to help your children understand how important it is to praise God all of their lives.

Bible School Activity: Did You Praise God When You Were 4?
This activity is very simple and only requires 2 things: 1. an elderly person who came to know the Lord at a young age and 2. a set of interview questions. Invite your guest into your preschool class. Make sure the children make the person feel welcome. You might want to prep your class with any pertinent information they should know. For example, if the individual is hard of hearing, show them how to speak loudly. If the person is in a wheel chair or uses a walker, prepare your children for what they might see. You might want to even bring in some refreshments to make the interview more special.

After introducing your guest, begin asking questions like:
What were you doing when you were 4 years old?
When did you ask Jesus into your life?
Continue asking them the questions:
What were you doing when you were 101525 years old?

After your guest gives an explanation for each age, ask them the following: Did you praise God when you were (fill in the age you asked about)?

To help the interview process go smoothly, you may want to tell your guest in advance what questions you will be asking. That way they are not going to be caught off guard, nor be too long-winded with their answers.

I think you will be surprised at how mesmerized your little ones will be by hearing your guest speak.
