Is He CRAZY
Go back the way you came-1 Kings 19:15 NIV
God whispered that to Elijah. Now keep in mind that Elijah had just finished telling Him not once but twice that the Israelites were trying to kill him. How many times (that you'll admit to) have you been in a dilemma similar to Elijah's? If you're anything like me you've probably shouted back to God "you want me to do what" within a dilemma or two.
In Proverbs 3:5 NIV the Bible tells us to lean not on our own understanding but to trust God with all of our hearts. Here's where I ask God if He's crazy. Let me get this right---you want me to forget about everything that I learned when it comes to dealing with a crisis (be it major or minor) and leave it in your loving hands because my thoughts and ways aren't yours (Isaiah 55:8 NIV). Wow talk about mind blowing!
Elijah must have been shaking his head at God's comment. If I were Elijah I probably would've asked "didn't you hear what I said-those people are trying to kill me". Being that God is who He is and knows best I can guarantee that His reply would've been "yes, I heard you but did you not hear me". Now that's enough to make you end any rebuttal and start marching back to the direction in which you come from, if I do say so myself.
Be like Nike's slogan and "just do it" the next time God whispers or shouts out for you to do something that you can't make any sense of.
